Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Terrell Carter has become a major rising force in entertainment​ as an actor-singer-songwriter, making him a true triple-threat. Recently (2017) staring in the critically acclaimed and very popular Fox drama series Empire alongside Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard and Phylicia Rashad. He has also starred in a major recurring role in the USA Network drama Shooter, opposite Ryan Philippe and Omar Epps, among many other television appearances.
On the big screen, Carter made his film debut in Tyler Perry's Diary of a Mad Black Woman and performed the song '"Father Can You Hear Me." He also appeared in Screen Gems' Think Like a Man Too opposite Kevin Hart and has racked up many additional film credits. Both films debuted at number one in the country. He spent several years touring as a lead in the Perry-produced plays Madea's Class Reunion, Meet the Browns and What's Done in the Dark.
Carter spent his first five years in the entertainment industry touring with Fred Hammond as part of his musical group, Radical for Christ. At the end of the tour, he reconnected with childhood friend Stevie J. and worked with him under P.Diddy and the Bad Boy umbrella as a songwriter and vocalist in Manhattan. Within a year, Carter was signed by Quincy Jones to work in music publishing as a singer-songwriter and made his move to Los Angeles. He went on to work with a number of recording artists, including Patti LaBelle, Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera.

Actor Jermel Howard To Play Rapper Treach in Salt-N-Pepa Biopic

​Lifetime’s Salt-N-Pepa biopic has found its leads. G.G. Townson and Laila Odom will be playing Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandra “Pepa” Denton, respectively.  Additionally, the upcoming limited series will also star Cleveland Berto as music producer Hurby Azor, Jermel Howard as rapper Treach and Monique Paul as DJ Spinderella.

Most of you know that Terrell Carter is a supporter of When We Speak TV... If you didn't, you do now....

When We Speak TV has always been a fan of Terrell Carter also...from the Tyler Perry Plays to movies like Think Like A Man Too.

Actor Terrell Carter Wants To Be An Amazing Singer Like Karen Clark and Stevie Wonder

Actor/ Singer, Terrell Carter, is most recognized from his role in several Tyler Perry plays like Meet The Browns and Madea's Class Reunion, but he has also toured in several other productions like Je'Caryous Johnson's stage play, Married But Single, alongside cast members, LisaRaye McCoy, Chrisette Michelle, Clifton Powell, Carl Anthony Payne, and others.  He also acted in the film, Think Like A Man Too, with notable names such as Kevin Hart, Meagan Goode, Regina Hall, Taraji P. Henson, Jenifer Lewis, Gabrielle Union, and Fonzworth Bentley, to name a few.

Among Terrell Carter's great acting skills he is undoubtedly a skilled vocalist.  Terrell Carter shares with Jermaine Sain, during an interview on When We Speak, that he grew up wanting to have the "amazingness" like Karen Clark Sheard and Stevie Wonder.

Jermaine Sain is the host/ creator of a talk show called When We Speak.  After exiting the U.S. Army in 2003, as a Medical Sergeant, Jermaine began pursuing a career in music after he auditioned for American Idol in 2005, in Austin, Texas.
In 2008, Jermaine moved to Atlanta where he has had the opportunity to provide backing vocals for Kem (Grammy nominated R&B Singer) Heart (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame), and Barry Manilow, as well as for companies such as Pink Ribbon Story Foundation and Verizon Wireless. He made his first music video appearance in Kem's Glorify The King.
Jermaine's talk show, When We Speak, caters to entertainment with a close focus on indie music professionals.
