Since starting When We Speak, in 2008, I have been fortunate to speak with many great musicians, singers, and actors. Each one has taught me many things about this industry that has help me along my career.
I once heard Oprah say that you learn much about a person when you sit down with them....and I totally agree with her statement. I really enjoy the face to face interviews more than phone or email because it allows you to see directly into the guests' eyes and see their passion, their truths, their emotions, and even their insecurities. It's just an amazing experience!
I recently sat down with Speech of Arrested Development. Yeah that's right...Arrested Development...the 2x Grammy Award winning hip hop group! When I spoke with Speech, I could see some of the very things that I saw in many other peoples' eyes....passion, determination, etc....but one thing I specifically noticed was "purpose" in his eyes.
From the days of old, the group Arrested Development's music has always had purpose...and that purpose continues today in their songs like Greener, Trauma, Up, and U2. So take a moment to check out some of Arrested Development's new music.......like this one called "U2"......WHAT DO YOU SPEAK?
